Dr. W. Thomas McClellan, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of McClellan Plastic Surgery, located at 5000 Coombs Farm Road, Suite 102, Morgantown, West Virginia 26508.

Dr. McClellan is a native of Charleston, West Virginia. He is an honors graduate of the University of Charleston and the West Virginia University School of Medicine (2001), where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and selected as Outstanding Teacher of the Year three consecutive years. He completed a general surgery residency at West Virginia University (2001–2004), a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the Lahey Clinic Foundation (a Harvard Medical School and Tufts Medical School affiliate) in Boston (2004–2006), a hand surgery and microsurgery fellowship at Duke University (2006–2007), and an aesthetic surgery fellowship at the internationally renowned Paces Plastic Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. While at Duke, he developed a new flexor tendon repair technique and participated in brachial plexus reconstruction research.

He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (initial 2009, continuously certified through 2029). He is a Diplomat of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He operates exclusively at Mon Health Center for Outpatient Surgery (Medicare and AAAASF certified) in Morgantown. He has served nearly 13,000 patients over 17 years. He is a global leader in surgical innovation and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
