Richard J. Howard

Dr. Richard J. Howard, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the Medical Director of The Body Garage Plastic Surgery & Med Spa, located at 6301 South Minnesota Avenue, Suite 300, Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57108. The practice has been serving the Sioux Falls area since 2005.

Dr. Howard earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin (1982) and has over 30 years of experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Singleton Surgical Society. He is affiliated with Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital, Sanford USD Medical Center, and Avera Heart Hospital.

His son, Dr. Thomas Howard, has joined the practice, bringing additional expertise to The Body Garage team. The practice combines plastic surgery with a full-service medical spa offering skincare treatments and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Howard is also the editor and author of "BEYOND: A Surgeon's Journey To Understanding The Transition From This Life To The Next."
