Richard Kutz

Dr. Richard Kutz, MD, MPH, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Plastic + Hand Surgical Associates in South Portland, Maine, with additional offices in Westbrook and Topsham. He graduated summa cum laude from Wilkes University and earned his MD from Penn State College of Medicine (2001). He completed a general surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he also earned a Master of Public Health focusing on healthcare policy and improvement. He then completed his fellowship in plastic surgery (including hand and microsurgery) at the Harvard Plastic Surgery Program, training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He additionally received training in pediatric plastic surgery at Children's Hospital Boston and burn reconstruction at Shriners Hospital Boston. He is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He serves on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and as Clinical Instructor at Maine Medical Center for Tufts University School of Medicine. His practice features two full-scale operating rooms staffed by board-certified anesthesiologists and is accredited by AAHC. He has a 4.7-star rating. He speaks Spanish and English.
