Richard Restifo

Dr. Richard J. Restifo, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Orange, Connecticut, serving Fairfield County and New Haven County. A Harvard Medical School graduate with over 35 years of experience, he is one of the most decorated breast and body plastic surgeons in the Northeast. Dr. Restifo graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in biochemistry and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated with highest honors from Harvard Medical School in 1986 and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his general surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital and his plastic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Restifo is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the New England Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Connecticut Society of Plastic Surgery. He served as Assistant Professor and Director of Breast Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine Section of Plastic Surgery and as Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport for ten years. He has published over 40 articles on advanced surgical techniques and served on the review panel for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal. He has been named one of the Best Doctors in America every year since 1994, America's Best Surgeons by the Consumer Research Council, and a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in the New York Metro area. He specializes in breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reduction, breast reconstruction, tummy tucks, liposuction, mommy makeovers, body contouring, thigh and arm rejuvenation, and Brazilian buttock lifts. He volunteers with INTERPLAST performing reconstructive surgery in developing nations. He is affiliated with Yale New Haven Hospital and St. Vincent's Medical Center.
