Sarah Boyce Sawyer

Dr. Sarah Boyce Sawyer, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon and the founder of Dermatology & Laser of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama. Since founding the practice in 2007, she has established herself as a leading authority in cosmetic dermatology, laser surgery, and minimally invasive aesthetic procedures. She has been recognized as the top injector of Botox and dermal fillers in Alabama since 2009 and oversees the most extensive collection of aesthetic laser devices in the state. Originally from Sikeston, Missouri, Dr. Sawyer graduated with honors from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at UAB from 1999 to 2002. During residency, she became involved in research, authored medical papers, lectured nationally, and held multiple leadership positions. She then pursued a prestigious fellowship in dermatologic surgery in San Diego, California, where she trained under four of the nation's leading dermatologic surgeons in skin cancer surgery, laser surgery, leg vein treatments, Botox, and soft tissue fillers. In 2003, she returned to Birmingham as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at UAB before opening her private practice.
