David Robbins

Dr. David Robbins, MD, FACS, is Iowa's only quadruple board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Des Moines Plastic Surgery and Coachlight Clinic & Spa, with locations in West Des Moines and Ankeny, Iowa. He graduated with distinction from the Virginia Military Institute with a degree in chemistry, magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University College of Dentistry, and earned his MD from the University of Nebraska. He completed surgical training followed by a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Kentucky. He served four years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He has been practicing cosmetic surgery exclusively since 2002 and has performed over 10,000 procedures on the face, breast, and body. His practice is part of the Allergan Black Diamond Partnership Program, placing it in the top 1% of plastic surgery practices in the United States. His practice is ranked as Iowa's #1 provider of Botox Cosmetic, CoolSculpting, and Sciton laser skin procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (recertified 2014 and 2024) and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (recertified 2015 and 2025).
