Laura McNaughton

Dr. Laura McNaughton, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of McNaughton Plastic Surgery, serving patients from locations in the Siouxland area. She also provides surgical consultation at Lazaderm in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Dr. McNaughton graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls before earning her medical degree at the top of her class from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota (2011). She was the first medical student in the history of the University of South Dakota to be accepted directly into a highly competitive integrated plastic surgery residency, which she completed at the University of Missouri-Columbia (2011–2017). She is a member of the American College of Surgeons.

During her training, she became extensively trained in breast and skin cancer reconstruction, hand surgery, and cosmetic surgery of the face and body. She formed McNaughton Plastic Surgery in 2019 after practicing for two years in the Siouxland area. She has received multiple honors, including the "Best Emerging Author" paper on cosmetic breast surgery published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, winning Siouxland's Choice Awards for "Best Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery" in 2018 and 2019, and the University of South Dakota's "Emerging Leader" Alumni Achievement Award in 2019. She maintains a 5 out of 5 recommendation rating on Healthgrades.
