Douglas L. Gervais

Dr. Douglas L. Gervais, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and co-owner of Minneapolis Plastic Surgery, Ltd. in Golden Valley, Minnesota, which he joined in 1996. A Twin Cities native, he earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1989. He completed a five-year general surgery residency at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by two years of plastic surgery fellowship training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he studied under a pioneer in ultrasonic body contouring and trained with one of the country's top cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgeons. Dr. Gervais holds board certifications from both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. His practice is entirely aesthetic, with emphasis on breast augmentation, body contouring (abdominoplasty and liposuction), and facial rejuvenation (rhinoplasty and facelift). He co-authored the chapter "Outpatient Lower Body Lift" in the textbook Cosmetic Surgery After Massive Weight Loss. He has been named a Top Doctor by Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine every year since 2014. Dr. Gervais serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities and is the Medical Director for its Get Out Program, which helps teens leave gang life.
