Dr. Blake Raggio

Dr. Blake Raggio, MD, FACS, is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon and the founder of Raggio MD Facial Plastic Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. He specializes exclusively in surgery of the face, with particular expertise in advanced rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift and neck lift techniques, and facial rejuvenation procedures that deliver natural, refreshed, and harmonious results.

A proud New Orleans native, Dr. Raggio earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences with a minor in chemistry from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, graduating in the top quartile of his class. He then completed a rigorous residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Tulane University Medical Center. Following residency, he pursued a highly competitive fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Toronto under the mentorship of world-renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr. Jamil Asaria.

Dr. Raggio is double board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has scored in the top 5 percent nationally on his facial plastic surgery board examination and is one of only a select few American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship-trained surgeons practicing in Alabama.

With a focus on restoration rather than dramatic transformation, Dr. Raggio is known for his meticulous attention to detail, artistic eye, and commitment to individualized care. He developed The PreservaLift™, his signature advanced deep plane facelift and neck lift procedure, which emphasizes repositioning deeper facial structures for long-lasting, natural-looking outcomes with hidden incisions. He also excels in primary and complex revision rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, brow lifts, and hair restoration. His practice offers both surgical and non-surgical facial treatments in a state-of-the-art facility located in Homewood, serving patients from Birmingham and beyond.

Dr. Raggio and his wife, Kristin, who serves as co-owner and practice administrator, reside in the Mountain Brook area with their children.
