Landon McLain

Dr. Landon D. McLain, MD, DMD, FACS, is a double board-certified oral and maxillofacial and cosmetic surgeon and the head of McLain Surgical Arts, a premier cosmetic and oral surgery practice in Huntsville, Alabama. He serves patients from across Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, offering cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, as well as surgical procedures of the jaws and mouth. A native of Alabama, Dr. McLain completed his undergraduate studies at Birmingham-Southern College, where he studied chemistry and studio art. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his general surgery internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery with emphasis on facial trauma, reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, and facial cosmetic surgery. He served as Chief Resident of the oral and maxillofacial department from 2007 to 2008. Dr. McLain then completed a fellowship in general cosmetic surgery accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), during which he performed approximately 1,400 major surgical procedures focusing on aesthetic enhancement of the face, breast, and body. Dr. McLain is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He lectures and serves as faculty for multiple live surgical workshops sponsored by the AACS, training cosmetic surgeons from around the world. He also serves as an examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, evaluating surgeons from multiple disciplines seeking board certification in cosmetic surgery. He has published numerous scientific papers and articles and has delivered lectures and presentations across the country. Dr. McLain has participated in philanthropic medical missions to Honduras and Peru. Dr. McLain played collegiate baseball at Birmingham-Southern College and is married to Lindsey Collier McLain, a former University of Alabama cheerleader. They have two daughters, Madison and Collier, and a son, John Taylor. Dr. McLain enjoys fitness, the arts, the outdoors, and sports.
