Robert Myers

Dr. Robert S. Myers, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic and hand surgeon and the founder of The Myers Institute of Plastic and Hand Surgery in Gadsden, Alabama. His practice offers a comprehensive range of cosmetic surgical procedures including facelifts, breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reduction, breast reconstruction, tummy tucks, and body contouring, as well as non-surgical aesthetic treatments such as Botox, Kybella, and dermal fillers. Dr. Myers earned his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania, and received his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia in 1999. He completed his general surgery residency at Lankenau Medical Center in the Main Line Health System, followed by extensive subspecialty training: a fellowship in craniofacial plastic surgery at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, a plastic surgery residency at the University of Mississippi, and a fellowship in aesthetic and cosmetic surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell (formerly Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital) under the mentorship of Dr. Alan Matarasso. Dr. Myers is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and holds an advanced subspecialty certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (The Aesthetic Society) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has authored and co-authored published research on topics ranging from cosmetic surgery to hand surgery and reconstructive techniques. He is affiliated with Gadsden Regional Medical Center and Riverview Regional Medical Center.
