Ethan E. Larson

Dr. Ethan E. Larson, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Larson Plastic Surgery, with offices in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona. He is widely recognized as one of Arizona's leading plastic surgeons and is a national authority on the surgical treatment of lipedema, having co-authored the United States Standard of Care for the condition. A native of Tucson, Dr. Larson graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Arizona with degrees in both microbiology and psychology. He was the Senior Student of the Year in the College of Microbiology and a NASA Space Grant Research Fellow. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arizona College of Medicine as a Dean's Scholar, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha and receiving the Outstanding Senior Student in Surgery award. He completed his internship and plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. training under renowned surgeons Dr. Scott Spear and Dr. Maurice Nahabedian. He then completed a fellowship in microvascular reconstructive surgery at the University of Washington under Dr. Peter Neligan. Dr. Larson is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (The Aesthetic Society), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Arizona Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at the University of Arizona for four years and continues as an assistant clinical professor with dual faculty appointments in surgery and orthopedics. He has received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Compassion in Medicine. His cosmetic practice specializes in breast augmentation, facelifts, high-definition liposuction, Brazilian butt lifts, tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, and gender-affirming surgery, with a particular expertise in lipedema treatment and DIEP flap breast reconstruction.
