Tamir Mosharrafa

Dr. Tamir Mosharrafa, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Mosharrafa Plastic Surgery Group in Phoenix, Arizona, where he has been in practice since 2004. He practices alongside his brother, Dr. Ali Mosharrafa, who founded the practice in 1996, and Dr. Martin Benjamin. Together, the Mosharrafa team has earned a reputation for integrity, compassionate care, and natural-looking results over more than two decades. Born in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, Dr. Mosharrafa grew up in Houston, Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin before attending Baylor College of Medicine in Houston for medical school. He completed his surgical internship and transitional year at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Bowling Green, followed by residencies in general surgery and plastic surgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He then completed a hand surgery fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Mosharrafa is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds a clinical faculty position where he teaches the science and art of plastic surgery to residents. He serves as a peer reviewer for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal. He and Dr. Ali have been named Phoenix Magazine Top Doctors for 19 consecutive years, an honor voted on by fellow physicians in the area.
