Robert Cohen

Dr. Robert Cohen, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Scottsdale Center for Plastic Surgery in Paradise Valley, Arizona. He has also expanded his practice to Beverly Hills, California. A native of Scottsdale who was born in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Cohen has become one of Arizona's most recognized aesthetic surgeons and a nationally respected thought leader in cosmetic breast surgery. Dr. Cohen graduated cum laude from Emory University in Atlanta with a double major in biology and philosophy. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he received honors in surgery and published research in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the field's most prestigious journal. He completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the Ivy League Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, followed by a highly coveted year-long aesthetic surgery and laser surgery fellowship with Dr. W. Grant Stevens in Los Angeles — he was the first surgeon ever offered this fellowship for a full year. Dr. Cohen is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has published over 20 journal articles and five textbook chapters, with a recent paper winning best journal article of the year in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. He lectures internationally to fellow plastic surgeons on techniques in breast augmentation and complex breast revision surgery. He specializes in cosmetic surgery of the breast, body, and face, including breast augmentation, breast revision, facelifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, tummy tucks, and liposuction. He is a founding member of UTU Humanitarian Alliance, through which he has funded over 1,000 reconstructive surgeries for children in need worldwide — more than any other surgeon involved with the organization. He has been named a Phoenix Magazine Top Doctor for 19 consecutive years.
