Mary Gingrass

Dr. Mary K. Gingrass, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and co-founder of The Plastic Surgery Center of Nashville, located at 1915 State Street, Nashville, Tennessee. She co-founded the practice in 2002 with Dr. Melinda Haws.

Dr. Gingrass is a third-generation plastic surgeon from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin (1989). She completed residency in general surgery and plastic surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship at Nashville Plastic Surgery emphasizing aesthetic surgery, breast surgery, and body contouring. She has practiced in Nashville since 1995.

She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Aesthetic Society, and in 2007 was inducted into the American Association of Plastic Surgeons. She served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for over 20 years and is past Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. She is on staff at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown and TriStar Centennial Medical Center. She has been honored with the RealSelf 500 award.

She was among the first U.S. plastic surgeons to use Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction and taught the technique nationally. She has published research on breast implant safety and pocket irrigation techniques.
