Daniel Shapiro

Dr. Daniel I. Shapiro, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of Shapiro Aesthetic Plastic Surgery & Skin Klinic in Paradise Valley, Arizona. With over 30 years of experience and tens of thousands of procedures performed, he is one of the most recognized and sought-after cosmetic surgeons in the Southwest. Dr. Shapiro earned his undergraduate degree from Occidental College and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1984. He completed his general surgery residency at Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut, followed by his plastic surgery residency at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where he trained under some of the most renowned plastic surgeons in the world. Dr. Shapiro is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is Past President of the Maricopa Society of Plastic Surgeons and serves as an Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, where he was recruited to become the Director of Aesthetic Surgical Training for the Mayo Clinic Rochester Plastic Surgery Residency Program. He received the Mayo Clinic Teacher of the Year award in 2018. He is recognized for performing among the best facelifts and rhinoplasties in the nation. He has also received Best Cosmetic Surgeon at the Phoenician Awards and Phoenix Magazine Top Doc honors.
